Behind My Street Style

Have you ever sat somewhere and just thought about your goal in life? I have and still am actually because everyday is my ultimate journey. I live with my blog, also breath with it.

I don't buy lots of high-end brands, I don't spend $1,000 on just one bag, everything I purchase must be the items which speak out my style. Spending money always activates my brain to think twice. I have been here for fully two years, working as fashion blogger for The Equinox Fashion, and of course there are wide variety of directions to choose (carefully) I have learnt lots of lessons about fashion industry from the best to the worst. Some people might think that this industry is all about glamorous and sparkling champagne, well you also be able to learn  about anorexia and other bad influences such as drug also. It is a career fulled of temptation, fame, money and everything, but you MUST choose your options wisely. Did i ever work in the office? Yes I did, I worked as a copy writer. But I just don't like the way to be under control with the circumstances that I couldn't speak my voice. That's why I follow my inner and start on my own.

For me, "I try to work hard and put my effort in it without being consumed" If you know what I mean. Don't be too obsessed but be who you really are, that's how I maintain my character and style. There are so many fashion events I have been to including a private party and collection preview from various brands. Of course, who wouldn't get excited!? At first, I felt like everything was so surreal like drinking champagne, talking with celebrities, sitting at the runway and so on. However, I assimilate to it like those events are another fragment of work and connection. I still love going to events because I can meet so many cool people and sneak peek of the new collections. But in the end, I am just a 20s girl who still keep pursuing dream and accomplish what I am looking for. I am just a person who loves watching television at home, chilling out with friends at the roof top, playing with my dogs, wearing super cheap tank-top and ripped trousers at home and observing things by myself.

Wearing street clothes is the best part of my life since it has led me to The Equinox Fashion blog in nowadays. "I don't compete with any others but myself because if you look deep down inside your hearts, you will see that you are the toughest competitor of yourself. There's no need to compete with others while just keep focusing on your duty and make it best"

"E-co friendly textile X Equilibrium-Vitae brand"

"Equilibrium-vitae" original based brand from Paris is the latest collaboration with The Equinox Fashion. The sleeveless crop top has been handmade in Paris, France but certified as "E-co friendly" in USA. This is the very first time of The Equinox Fashion to present such environmental friendly design from French designer from Parson Paris of art and fashion institute.

The weather in Bangkok, Thailand is like either hot or rain, so there is no way that we can wear faux fur jacket or some trendy cozy thick layer. Especially, I love wearing crop top with shorts as always, therefore this vivid piece from Equilibrium-vitae is considered as my all time favourite top. Actually, there are many reasons why I love this brand and its designer not only just about the cheerful unisex vibe but also the idea of brand's purpose. First of all, I had never been working with any French designers before, however, "Daniela" the head designer of the brand still gave such a big opportunity to me in order to create some mutual project by representing her designs in my blog, as well as, other social media networks like Youtube or Lookbook.nu. (And here is my another Youtube video :))

Besides, Equilibrium-vitae is more than just a brand because they donate money to the charity in Indian also. I think we have been destined to meet each other. Well it sounds like romantic movie, but have you ever heard words "Like attracts like"? Daniela loves travelling and fashion design, she has  traveled to several countries including in Europe and Asia. While, I love travelling and fashion blogging. Therefore, I think we have something in common :)

Skull Leggings Review on Youtube

2014 has gradually well spent by collaborations and my fist launch of Youtube channel. I am pretty much stoked with what's coming up since I have listed lots of brands and designer to work with. Also, this Youtube video which reviews about "Skull printed leggings" offered by http://www.everbuying.com/

In this year, my style is still going to be about "street fashion" as well as several guest posts from different brands. In the age of 24, I feel like I can see the growth in me so much. I mean I am still working on my goal, not even have a plan to settle down with any office work or get married anytime soon because I want to live my life to the fullest. I can be in this youth only once, so let me do what my heart keeps telling me what to do. My parents used to criticize about my blogger career because it seems to be invisible in the reality, however, I have proved to them that I have come this far and still keep on moving to elevate The Equinox Fashion to the next level until I can see my concrete fashion company in the future. I feel blessed with every opportunity, every job offer, also my lovely readers and followers. Your support is the greatest thing which I have ever had.

In this year, my style is just going to be clearer and stronger, I mean there's no time to step back. Time is ticking! So let's get started of my very first (official) post about the outfit, shall we?

This look has been sponsored by online shopping called "Everbuying.com" I have chosen the skull leggings and matched with my favourite crop top purchased at Siam Square, one of the most famous street fashion market located in the heart of Bangkok, Thailand. I love this pair of leggings so much due to its high-quality of the material used in it. At first, I thought about matching with my Tartan top, however, It seemed to be mismatch for me. Tartan+Skull= too much to focus on just one distinguished item. Therefore, white crop top would be a great one.

Especially, in this video, please feel free to enter my giveaway by leaving a comment "How would you mix&match the outfit with this bracelet?" And the winner will receive my spiky bracelet with little postcard sent straight from me. And please, feel free to subscribe :)

Friday Favourite: Short Bridesmaid Dresses 2014 by "Dressv"

Last month I was asked by "Dressv" Wedding apparel online shop to choose my favourite selections of the end of 2013. Here we go again, the next chapter of my thumb up short bridesmaid dresses in 2014

Personally, I always love wearing something colourful yet glamorous outfit to the wedding ceremony or party because wearing light or soft colours is way too cliche. If it comes to my wedding one day, I will encourage you to wear such vivid dresses or funny costumes since I have an intention to create the event under the theme of "disco" or 60s vibe, sounds fun isn't it? :D Therefore, these short bridesmaid dresses recommended in this article would rather embrace the word "cheerful" and "classy" together because who wouldn't want to be happy in the happiest moment of our "woman" life!

1) The first one is the short cherry dress combined with the style of prom or homecoming look. The reason why I pick this one is that apart from LBD or any other classy black dresses, I love the power of "red" It shines you throughout the look with least effort, like you don't even have to put much makeup on your face. Just beautiful hairstyle, and natural eye makeup, and you are ready to go.

2) Now let's get it softer with simply one-shoulder dress look. With the cutting on top and the layer of skirt make the dress look pretty in its light tone. If you prefer the colour like extremely light but not white. Then this one  would be a perfect match with your lovely pump heels and a little clutch.

3) However, if you love it super neat and girly, this pastel yellow dress would look gorgeous on you. Just a bit of makeup and creamy lipstick colour, you can absolutely attend the wedding with most confident.

Interview with Dancing Dolls UK

A few months ago, "Dancing Dolls UK" was one of my very first UK brands which I collaborated with. Fortunately, I had an opportunity to get to know more about the brand itself by interviewing some questions with Paulinah, head designer of Dancing Dolls UK. Even though it's been merely three months, I can see the growth in the brand in just a short time. Since not only it has been cooperating with some of bloggers, but its collection also worn by celebrities and singers such as Hatty Keane and etc. And of course, I feel blessed to be a part of this journey with Paulinah and her team.

Thank you Paulinah for the leggings and amazing collaborate with The Equinox Fashion. I feel love <3 xxxx

1) Can you tell me a bit background of Dancing Dolls UK, as well as, designers of the brand?

Dancing Dolls UK is ready-to-wear clothing line specializing in sexy, urban, chic womens and swimwear. The designs are produced by myself- Paulinah Eboh Sampson- then handcrafted at the DDUK design studio, in Birmingham UK. Dancing Dolls UK initially started as a dance wear company, creating bespoke dance attire for performers. As the Dancing Dolls brand began to develop, I was considering branching out to set up a sister company, to run along side DDUK- a line that would be more fashion lead and orientated to women outside of the performing arts genre. Some where along the way and before, I could set up this second line. I got an opportunity to develop of the dynamics of the Dancing Dolls brand, incorporating some swimwear designs, I had been playing around with. 12 looks on and presented as my first full 'Doll Domination'- comprising of one famous hooded swimsuit and a draped jumpsuit-later. A direction for the new Dancing Dolls UK was established as the brand it is today; drawing inspiration from its route in dance wear and combining it with a fashion forward direction.

2) What's your inspiration when designing dresses?

I draw inspiration from a variety of sources: peoples attitudes, buildings, emotions. Provided it relates to the aesthetics or tells the story of the Dancing Dolls brand, then anything and everything can work for me as a starting point for inspiration. As a creative, I communicate best through my art form- dressmaking; I tell these stories with fabric and scissors.

3) What's the plan for future growth for the brand itself?

To keep doing what we are doing; just bigger, better, harder, fastest. I think its working, so far! Ha ha! Dancing Dolls is still only a very small brand, so there is a lot more growing for it to do.
There is a saying in fashion, that states; you're only as good as your last collection. As, the designer and creative director behind the brand, I never forget that. I think, if I keep applying that motto to Dancing Dolls, then people will continue to find- helping us grow!

4) Who's the targeted customers of the brand?

Women 18-35, who appreciate fashion that borders along the line of commerce, pirouettes around the provocative and dances glamourously on, in and near the tasteful….all whilst, of course smothered with dollops of ‘urban chic’- ness.
I once described Dancing Dolls UK as a 'A poor mans Versace'- like Versace, we are known for:  bold colours and slinky cuts deriving on the borders of over-the-top sexuality with our plunging necklines, slits to there, short skirts, the need to feel comfortable showing off your assets and all-about-the-body sex appeal- all of this , but with an affordable price tag!

Friday Favourite: Spiky, Studded and The Platform (Style)

Happy 2014! all the best wishes to you and thank you so much for being such a great support for The Equinox Fashion for the past couple of years <3

Now let's get started of this amazing year with some of my favourite shoes/platform style. I have been obsessed with platform lately (Well I haven't worn high-heel for like 6 months since the last fashion event I participated) Because it is more comfy to walk (fast) for me (If you are with me, you will experience how quick it is going to be lol) Besides, I have met some of former models who told me that "wearing heels to much causes a great backache in the future" And that's probably why I don't really wear them anymore.

I have come across the shopping online website which specializes in shoes and bags named "Lovelyshoes.net" and I gotta say that their wide variety of platform make me wanna purchase them all since they are really what I need. I am a fan of T.U.K and Underground creepers, so this is another website that triggers my need towards these kinds of shoes even more. It's not just about how cute they are, or how fashionable they look. But "I can see my look with those shoes clearer in that way. Like it's quite easy for me to mix&match my style with them

Therefore, these are some of my (wish) selections of Spiky, Studded and Platform from Lovelyshoes.net that I would love to show you guys with a high hope that somehow it can be an inspiration for your everyday style or even to be a new toy in your wardrobes.
